Emotional - Physical Wellbeing & Pain Release

"Kate Guest is fantastic! Working with Kate has been an absolute joy and she has given me back a quality of life I thought I would never have again. Thanks Kate!"  Fibromyalgia client

Emotional and Physical wellbeing don’t just go hand in hand, they are a co-existing eco structure. Emotional problems can lead to physical problems and physical problems can affect our emotions.

As a professional Mind Coach, Hypnotherapist, NLP Coach, and 'Old Pain 2 Go ®' Practitioner, we work together so you can have relief from pain, stiffness, and fatigue when traditional methods of treatment have failed or are limited.

What if I told you that many people who have had pain for many years can release that pain either partially or completely. What if that pain is always an 8 out of 10 and yet after therapy, it is down to a 2 out of 10 or even 0?

You may have chronic or persistent pain somewhere in the body. The doctors have given you a diagnosis and prescribed medication. Often that’s it.  You may have been told to manage your condition and that you will never be any different, you will be like this forever.

That pain may be due to an emotional event such as the death of a loved one or a physical event such as an accident. The pain condition is insidious, unnoticed and so the link is not made, and yet once discovered and released through therapy, comfort reigns once more.

Knowing you now have an alternative is empowering. It is life-changing.

What about people with allergic reactions, skin problems, asthma?

The person who has allergies and so can’t have a dog as a pet although their family would love one. Who can’t eat certain foods or wear certain fibres. Has to avoid people who wear certain perfumes. The allergy may restrict and reshape how they live their lives, what jobs they have, what functions they attend, what hobbies they pursue.

What if they can change this and therefore their outcomes in life?

The person with skin problems such as eczema and psoriasis may be on regular medication to take internally or creams and lotions to put on externally daily that can take an hour or so to apply.

The asthmatic may avoid sport due to breathing problems or need medical emergency nebuliser therapy due to asthma attacks. This may mean the loss of school or work time. What if this can be reduced or avoided? In the Eastern world, they have been treating the body as a whole for centuries. Complete connection. Here in the West, we are thankfully catching up and yet still lag behind.

*Books such as ‘The Body Keeps the Score’, ‘The Placebo Effect’, ‘How Your Mind Can Heal Your Body’, ‘The Biology of Belief’ and others like it show us just how powerful the mind is and how it affects the body.

Similarly, our bodies, our posture, our breathing, all affect how we think. The two are inextricably linked. They have to be. They are part of an amazing ecosystem. The way we treat our minds and bodies is essential to understand to move towards and maintain improved overall health.

I work with clients to achieve the above and in doing so I see their journey back to health and all the benefits that brings with it. If you would like to know more about the mind-body connection and how I can help you, please contact me today.
